Hello, Subscriber First Name,

In the way of the waters, I’ve been gathering, holding space, receiving, healing, flowing, releasing, transmuting, alchemizing. As I emerge from a period of incubation, I look forward to sharing more.

In the meantime, my Water Womyn Retreat at Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort in Nosara, Costa Rica, could not have been more beautiful and powerful. I’m grateful and honored to have created a container and held space for an incredible group of women as they explored their own internal wisdom and power (and soaked up sunset in the tidal pools of Nosara.)

I’m continuing my journey in Costa Rica, and while the idea of powder skiing continues to bubble up, the entirety of my experience here is so nourishing that I’m choosing to be here, now, and continue to flow.

The Gift of Solitude

Water invites us to slow down, notice, become present. Softly lapping waves beckon us to stillness. More energetic and powerful surges demand our attention. Distant horizons, where ocean melts to sky, draw our eyes, soothe our minds. Tidal pools call us to soak, release, purify ourselves. Step by step, moment by moment, we are gifted the opportunity to listen to our souls, feel our hearts, abide our internal wisdom.

My soul is taking me on a solo walk and I could not feel more grounded, full, alive, at ease, and grateful for the opportunity to just be, move, soak, dream, journal, heal, integrate, nourish my body, and flow with the rhythms of the planet and the sea. With this comes integration, healing, wisdom, presence, receptivity, compassion, and love.

This piece by Paulo Coelho speaks to solitude in the most beautiful way:

Without solitude, Love will not stay long by your side.

Because Love needs to rest as well, so that it can journey through the heavens and reveal itself in other forms.

Without solitude, no plant or animal can survive, no soil can remain productive for any length of time, no child can learn about life, no artist can create, no work can grow and be transformed.

Solitude is not the absence of Love, but its complement.
Solitude is not the absence of company, but the moment when our soul is free to speak to us and help us decide what to do with our life.

Therefore, blessed are those who do not fear solitude, who are not afraid of their own company, who are not always desperately looking for something to do, something to amuse themselves with, something to judge.

If you are never alone, you cannot know yourself.
And if you do not know yourself, you will begin to fear the void.

But the void does not exist. A vast world lies hidden in our soul, waiting to be discovered. There it is, with all its strength intact, but it is so new and so powerful that we are afraid to acknowledge its existence.

Just as Love is the divine condition, so solitude is the human condition. And for those who understand the miracle of life, those two states peacefully coexist.
