COLLABORATIVE ART

Collaborative art is a powerful way to convey a message. Wendy’s collaborative art projects engage audiences, stimulate conversations, and teach technical concepts in accessible ways.

Wendy developed this Water Footprinting Project for the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA, where she was an Artist-in-Residence. Over the course of a week, she invited school children and their families to cut out shapes and forms from recycled denim, draw messages and pictures about water, and use them to cover standing wave form—the size of which accurately represented volume of water—some 2,000 gallons—it takes to make one pair of blue jeans.
